About Me

My name is Roxane Zucchero. I am a Freelance Conference Interpreter. I provide interpretation services in French, English and Italian. Born in France, I was raised in Milan for over 12 years. I completed my Bachelors in Languages, Literature, Translation and Communication, followed by a Masters degree in conference interpreting in Brussels. I have also travelled extensively to English-speaking countries to perfect my knowlege of the language as well as my understanding of the culture.

• As far back as my memory goes, I've always known that I wanted to be an interpreter. This is not so much a career for me but rather a calling.
  
• After University I realized the current state of affairs, mainly the COVID19 pandemic, had impacted my job requirements. I therefore continued my training by becoming certified for a number of Remote Interpreting Platforms. One of the reasons I am so drawn to my career is that there is always a need for learning more, challenging yourself and  constantly adapting.
• I believe in the importance of communication. When used effectively, communication is one of the most powerful tools there are. Don't let a language barrier prevent you from reaching an audience with whom you don't share a language. Leave it in the hands of qualified interpreters to relay your message, tone, intention, culture and purpose in the same way you would, but in a different language.
• I have a worked on a wide variety of topics, both technical and general. Some of them are: International Politics, National and European travel regulations, Medicine and Radiology, Satellites and Space Programs, Ecology and Environment, Manufacturing and AI modeling, Culture, Art and History.
• I have worked for very high-profile clients and events such as COP27 in Egypt, COP28 in the UAE, the European Parliament, the Committee of the Regions, press conferences for Heads of States and Governments, just to name a few.
• I strongly believe in the values and ethics of my profession, which I plan to uphold all throughout my carreer. I am currently an AIIC Pre-Candidate.
